About CRM Ledger
CRM Ledger is an independent publication for small and midsize US businesses choosing and running customer relationship management software. We cover the products, the pricing, the implementation work, and the parts of a vendor demo that do not survive contact with a real sales team.
We started the site because CRM buying advice is usually either too generic to use or too close to a vendor’s marketing department. A buyer needs to know what a system costs after the contract, how long it takes to become useful, and what happens when the team outgrows the plan. That is the information we try to publish.
What we cover
- CRM software reviews for small and midsize sales teams
- Buying guides that start with the sales process, not the feature list
- Pricing and total-cost analysis, including implementation and admin time
- Industry explainers, including the companies and tickers behind the software
- Practical setup advice for teams that do not have a full-time CRM administrator
How we research
Our guides are built from vendor documentation, published pricing, product trials where we can get access, and conversations with the operators who use the software day to day. We distinguish between what we verified, what the vendor claims, and what buyers report. When a conclusion depends on a negotiated contract or a company-specific integration, we say so.
Prices change. We date-stamp list prices and note when a figure is a planning range rather than a published rate. If you spot something that is out of date, tell us and we will correct it.
Who writes it
Evan Mercer is the editor of CRM Ledger. Evan writes about CRM selection, pricing, implementation, and sales operations for small and midsize US companies. The focus is total cost, adoption friction, and the gap between a vendor demo and a working pipeline. Before editing CRM Ledger, Evan spent years on the operations side of B2B sales teams, which is why the renewal invoice gets more attention here than the keynote.
Evan can be reached at [email protected]. Our editorial rules are published in full on the editorial standards page.
How we make money
CRM Ledger is reader-supported. We do not accept payment for a ranking, a review, or a place on a shortlist. Some articles may include affiliate links to software vendors; if you buy through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate relationships do not change the criteria we use, and we disclose them on the pages where they appear.
Corrections
